Connect Marketplace takes care of the complete design of your store: we develop the concept, select and customize the theme, and shape the layout of pages and content. You prepare the brand identity, business details, and materials that represent your offering.
This guide explains what you need to provide, how we agree on the appearance of your online store, and which settings we check before sales begin. Clear preparation makes it easier to align the design with your business.
What you need to prepareFROM BRAND IDENTITY TO A READY-TO-USE STORE
Who prepares the content, and who creates the design?
Connect leads the design and implementation
We develop the visual and content concept, select a suitable theme, define the arrangement of elements, and implement the agreed customizations. We align the homepage appearance, navigation, and content display with your offering and customers' needs.
You provide guidelines and materials
You prepare the brand guidelines, logo files, photographs, texts, and accurate business details. You appoint a person who consolidates feedback and approves the agreed concept.
We review the result together
We review the appearance on computers and mobile devices, the clarity of information, and the customer's path to the product. The scope of work, special functionalities, and subsequent changes are coordinated according to the agreed collaboration.
You do not need to choose a theme, edit code, or arrange blocks on your own. Coordinate design and technical changes with the Connect team; administration capabilities depend on your permissions and activated services.
PREPARING FOR ONLINE STORE DESIGN
Brand guidelines: the foundation of a consistent appearance
To prepare the store, you need to have brand guidelines in place, meaning clear and approved visual identity guidelines. They define how we use your logo, corporate colors, fonts, and other recognizable brand elements.
- Logo and its variations: the original vector file, versions for light and dark backgrounds, clear space, and minimum-size rules.
- Corporate colors: primary and additional colors with values for digital use, such as HEX and RGB.
- Typography: font names and permitted weights, rules for headings and text, and confirmation of web usage rights. If the selected font is not available for the web, we agree on a suitable replacement.
- Photographic and graphic style: examples of the desired appearance of photographs, illustrations, icons, and promotional materials.
- Examples and restrictions: permitted combinations and examples of incorrect use of the visual identity.
Provide your existing brand guidelines together with the corresponding files. If you do not have them or they no longer suit your brand, we agree on preparing or supplementing the identity before creating the design.

Provide high-quality original photographs and materials for which you have usage rights. We agree on banner dimensions and crops according to the specific position on the page and display on mobile devices; one dimension is not applied to all positions.

Prepare a company presentation, the main strengths of your offering, a proposed category structure, and informational content. Provide legal and business terms in an approved version aligned with your business.
Markets, languages, and priorities
Specify whom you sell to, which languages you need content in, and which products you want to highlight. Mark what is required to start operating and what you plan for the next phase.

Frequently asked questions about online store design and settings
Do we have to create the design or select the theme ourselves?
No. The Connect team leads the design process, proposes a theme, and implements the agreed concept. Your task is to provide brand guidelines, materials, and feedback.
Is a logo alone sufficient?
Consistent design also requires guidelines for colors, typography, and how the identity is applied. If you only have a logo, we agree on supplementing the guidelines or creating brand guidelines.
Can we change the appearance later?
Yes, send a change request to the Connect team. Describe the goal and the pages affected by the change; we agree on the scope, implementation, and any potential cost before work begins.
Why can't I see all the settings from the CS-Cart instructions?
The documentation describes different platform versions and capabilities. In Connect Marketplace, the availability of settings depends on permissions, the theme, and activated services. For operation, follow our instructions and the procedure confirmed for your store.
Does prepared SEO content guarantee a position on Google?
No. Clear headings, useful content, relevant descriptions, and meaningful links help search engines understand the page, but they do not guarantee indexing or a specific position in search results.
